Enter the Law Program Message Board
This service is intended to allow members of the Naval Reserve Law Program to post and receive messages from each other on basically any item of interest. You may post any item, such as a question or other request for info ("Where can I get a sword?" etc.), unit matters, or just about anything, with the following guidelines:
1. Do not request, respond to or post Law Program general policy matters. These will either be announced through the chain of command or posted on the main Law Program Home page.
2. If you would like to post an opportunity for AT, ADT, ADSW, IDTT or any similar item, PLEASE do the following before you post:
a. Contact CAPT Joe Twining, our Law Program Manager. He is the central coordinator for all such matters other than routine AT or IDTT at the gaining command. This applies to all opportunities, whether or not within the Law Program or even the Navy. Let him know about the opportunity, the time frame, the rank or grade needed, experience and any other details, and any available funding from the gaining command, since the Law Program has very limited funding.
b. If he gives the go-ahead, then feel free to post your message. We will also post it in the "Latest News" link on our main Web page.
This is important because we need (1) to give an equal chance for all our JAs and LNs to apply for great slots, (2) to tap into CAPT Twining's database of those looking for extra work, and (3) to allow our NR JAG leadership to have input where appropriate.
The need for central coordination is not new, nor are the other factors mentioned above. There have been a few, well-intentioned postings which have not quite met these needs. Those postings will not be deleted, since this info is published here for the first time; however, future posts which which have not gone through the Law Program Manager will regretfully have to be deleted.
3. Please also do not post your gripes or dissatisfaction with the Law Program, the Navy or Naval Reserve, or any individual. Any such "flaming" will be immediately removed.
4. Observe the usual Internet courtesy rules, i.e., no offensive language, etc. Posting memorabilia or other items for sale or trade is OK, such as used personal uniform items. There is a section on the Board for this purpose.
5. Commercial use of the Message Board is prohibited.
6. Remember that this Message Board and any other site on the NR Law Program Web is not private -- anyone can read, and in the case of a Message Board, respond to, posted items.
7. Your Webmaster reserves the right to remove any posting or response deemed not in compliance with the foregoing, including the spirit of the Board. Removal will be in my sole and absolute discretion and is not subject to review.
Except for these basics, just about anything goes! Enjoy the Message Board!
V/r & r to all, Captain Mac Carter, Webmaster
