IMPROMPTU GATHERING AT CHEZ CARTER


Somehow, in a matter of less than a day, a few UMGF members managed to get together for a VERY informal, unofficial and impromptu gathering at Mac and Lynn Carter's place in Cokesbury, New Jersey.  The weather outside was cold and snowy, but the feeling inside was warm and great!  This was assembled on too short a notice to let the word be known generally, otherwise it would have been quite a crowd!  Those in attendance were Pete Bentley, El McMeen (who left before the picture taking started), Rhys Ord, Tony Phillips, Maury Rutch and yours truly.  There were at least 3 times more guitars than people.

Nothing was sacred - Eagles, CSN, John Denver, El McMeen's great C Tuning compositions, etc.  Pete Bentley even played a Kingston Trio song.

Beer and Pizza were the order of the day - so what else is new??
